Alhamdulillah. Praise be to Allah.
We've got a new member in our family, a baby girl born at 1.41am on 15th June 2008 in Wangsa Maju. Weight = 2.55kg, Length or Height = 50cm.
Thanks to those who spent their time during the weekend to visit us.
Ada yang telah mengucapkan doa tahniah berdasarkan sunnah. Dikongsikan di sini ucapan tahniah serta jawabannya.
Doanya:
"Baa rakallahu laka fil mauhuubilaka, wa shakartal waahiba, wa balagha ashuddahu, wa ruziqta birrahu"

Cuti-cuti Malaysia - Cameron Highland
|

|
My brother Irwan booked a TNB bungalow for my family and parents for a 3 days 2 nights retreat at Cameron Highland. It was raining season, so the temperature was rather cold at night and early morning. We did nothing much except lazing around, enjoyed the meals cooked by the caretaker, visited some farms and tagged along with my parents visiting their friends.

It's Idul-Fitri (Hari Raya Puasa) again...

First day of raya was spent at the in-law's. Went back to Ipoh on the second day and almost missed the gathering of uncles and cousins there.

CAN ON the camera

Excuse me for the gap... I left my bag in my car (I don't usually do this) while shopping at a night market and guess what... the bag which contains among others my Sony DCS-W1 went missing! (The car alarm was not working properly then  )
After a few weeks deliberating, I decided in August to purchase a Canon PowerShot A570IS. The reason: it has 4x optical zoom which is a bit more than most compact cameras, and it runs on AA batteries so that I don't have to worry at all about emergency power requirement. Lets see what I can do with this new piece of equipment...

Took the opportunity of the recent weekend break plus 2 days of annual leave to balik kampung (Rapat Setia, Ipoh) as well as to attend the wedding of my 2nd cousin's son @ Butterworth. Unlike last time, Hannah has now warmed up to her grandpa.

Received a call after Fajr from my mom saying that my grandpa, the last of my grandparents, passed away at 6:22am. Together with my family, brother and mom-in-law, off we went to Kg. Lubuk Katak @ Tapah. Apparently the people in Tapah are super efficient because by the time we reached Tapah at 11:30am, we have missed the funeral prayer and the burial was in progress. I remember an advice from a religious teacher, saying that we'll get a reward for doing the funeral prayer, and double the reward for accompanying and going to the burial site, but the most important thing is to contemplate, ponder, remind and ask ourselves: are we ready for the Hereafter?

The Prophet (S) said: "Whoever follows the funeral procession of a Muslim out of faith and hoping for reward (form Allah), then he stays until the funeral prayer and the burial, will return with two Qirats, each of them is as huge as the mount of Uhud. And whoever attends it until the funeral prayer will have a reward equal to one Qirat." [Hadeeth - Saheeh Bukhari]
The Prophet (S) said: "Visit the sick, and follow the funeral procession; this reminds you of the Hereafter." [Hadeeth - Saheeh Muslim]

We took the opportunity of the recent long leave for a relatively short trip back to Terengganu. My mom-in-law wanted to settle an urgent land issue, so we kind of tagged along. We managed to shop a bit at Pasar Payang (Central market), play/walk around at the Batu Buruk beach, and meet up with some relatives at Cabang Tiga and Bukit Payung. On our return trip to kuala Lumpur, we stopped by at Restoran Seri Puncak in Temerloh for a delicious meal of Ikan Patin
